Julius Erving’s ABA Championship ring he won with the New York Nets in 1976 went for $195 000 at 2011 SCP auction where Dr J sold off 144 of his various possessions, netting him over $3.5 million. Despite the historical signficance of being a relic from the last ABA playoffs before the merger with the NBA, this was the least expensive of Erving’s 3 rings.
