Best MVP Seasons in NBA history
1987-88 was only Jordan’s 4th season in the NBA, but he made a huge impact on the Chicago Bulls. He lead the league in scoring on 53 FG%. The Bulls’ offense relied on him so much, that the second highest scorer on the Bulls averaged 22 points less than him – leading this kind of team to 50 wins is nothing short of amazing.
Defensively, this is the season when Micheal became the only player in NBA history to win the scoring title and Defensive Player of The Year in one season. Even though this may not be His Airness’ best season statistically, the Bulls would be nowhere close to the Playoffs, let alone 3rd seed, if it wasn’t for him.
