Best MVP Seasons in NBA history

Even though LeBron’s Cavs lost to Dwight Howard and the Magic at the 2009 NBA Playoffs, 2008-2009 was an amazing year for LeBron. He led Cleveland to the best NBA record of 66-16, lead the team in every major category including scoring, rebounds, assists and blocks.

He turned Mo Williams into an All-Star and made Daniel Gibson, Anderson Varejao and Zydrunas Ilgauskas lightyears better. He also dropped 49 points in Game 1 of the ECF series against the Magic.

And still that’s not all – he also started focusing his athleticism into defense, recording a career-high (at the time) 1.2 blocks and 1.3 steals, earning his first All-Defensive Team honors.
