Evolution of Kobe’s Signature Sneakers From 1996 to 2016

Kobe’s first signature shoe was a continuation of Adidas’ Feet You Wear platform from the Elevation. That platform was way ahead of its time, as it set out to provide the athlete with a “natural” stride and feel. The KB8 (later renamed to Crazy 8) the sense that Adidas knew they had an exciting player but didn’t exactly know if he was signature shoe ready, so they made something that pushed the boundaries of their line-up, but at the same time generic enough to be worn by any player.
