Biggest betrayals in NBA history
There’s a lot of money moved around in the NBA every season. Unfortunately, where there’s money, there’s betrayal. Let’s take a look at the biggest betrayals in NBA histroy
Sonicsgate (2006 – 2008)
Sonics fans could blame Clay Bennett and the PBC for allegedly deceiving Howard Shultz into thinking they wouldn’t move the team after the sale, they could blame Shultz for not making sure the team would stay instead of filing a lawsuit when it was too late.
They could also blame the the city of Seattle and Washington officials for not bulding an expansion to the arena. Regardless of the blame, few things are worse than losing a team you’ve been watching struggle for a decade right after they draft future superstar Kevin Durant and right before they draft another in Russell Westbrook.
