Michael Jordan made $30 million in 1996-97 and $33 million in 97-98 after threatening that he’ll go to the Knicks and win championships there. Granted, he was very underpaid before that, winning 4 titles over 8 years for just $25 million. Still, Jordan’s last two season with the Bulls are two of the highest single season contracts in league history.
