The Greatest Basketball Sneakers of the 90s – Part 1
Ewing 33 Hi (1989 – 1990)
In 1989, Patrick Ewing became the first NBA star to have his own shoe company. The company’s first sneaker, the Rebound, was rarely used by Ewing and didn’t catch on that much. The 33 Hi, however, became a staple in New York City and eventually made its way to Europe and Asia throughout the next decade. Ewing also had his best season debuting those, averaging 28.6 PPG and 11 RPG in 1989-90.
