10 Landmark Firsts in the History of Basketball

Many great players record multiple triple doubles throughout their career, but only a select few have been able to go even further and record a quadruple double. The first was Nate Thurmond, playing for the Chicago Bulls at the center position against the Atlanta Hawks on October 18 1974. In the 120-115 overtime win for Chicago, Thurmond put up 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists and 12 blocks.

This feat has since been repeated only 4 times – by Alvin Robertson in 1986, Hakeem Olajuwon twice in 1990 and David Robinson in 1994.
