The 1985 draft was by far the first and also the most controversial in NBA history. The New York Knicks were struggling despite having the biggest market, so David Stern allegedly had the Knicks envelope chilled so he could feel it and pull it out first. The Knicks ended up making history by drafting Patrick Ewing, who led the Knicks to the Playoffs on multiple occasions.
